20th Annual Spring Rollout Party
Here are the details concerning the upcoming Roll out party on May 4, 2019. If you do not plan on attending, please disregard this email. If you are attending, read on as it contains vital information concerning this event.
The Fun Stuff:
This year’s run is the Dairyland Farm Tour. We will be cruising the rustic back roads and viewing some of Southern Wisconsin’s most beautiful dairy farms and iconic red barns.
The Rally Point is the parking lot of the Verona Ice Arena, located at 451 E. Verona Avenue, Verona, Wi. It is easy to find as it is well marked and on Verona’s main East/West corridor, at the stoplight of Enterprise Drive and Verona Avenue.
The Drive is just over 90 miles and will take two plus hours to complete. Please fill your tank the day before and empty your bladder before arriving at the rally point. There are several restaurants along Verona Ave. where you can do that so leave a little early and plan on stopping. There are no planned stops once the drive begins.
The Rally Time is 2:15pm, and we will depart at 2:45pm sharp. There will be a driver’s meeting prior to leaving and a detailed, turn by turn direction sheet with mileage indicators for the navigators..
Rally End Point is the Vette Ranch and shortly after our arrival, Wood’s BBQ will have the food ready to go. The only things you need to bring are your choice of beverage (bottled water will be provided) and maybe a bag chair. We will have seating for around 50+ so we shouldn’t need many bag chairs. All tableware, paper products, and food will be provided as well as a table of Cindy’s homemade desserts. Yes, the Lemon Meltaways are returning for another year. We’ll lite up the fire pit immediately following dinner for those who wish to hang out for a while.
The Necessary But Boring Stuff:
We currently have just under 50 people signed up for the May 4 event. We have room for lots more and encourage and welcome everyone to attend. You still have time to sign up for the BBQ as the drop dead deadline is Friday, April 26. You can cancel out any time before the 26th and receive a full refund. No refunds issued after that date. Due to a change in caterers this year, there is no wiggle room for late registration. As a reminder, there is no cost for the driving portion of the day but there is a $17/person charge for the BBQ. The only acceptable form of payment is check made out and mailed to me or Cindy at 7901 Windermere Ct, Cross Plains, Wi. 53528 no later than April 26.
That’s about it. Anyone who has any questions about the rollout can contact me at 608-335-8388. We are looking forward to seeing all of you on May 4. And as they say in the Star Wars movies… May the 4th be with you!!!
