Spring appears to have finally sprung (about time) and that means it’s time for the 22nd annual Dessert Run (formerly the rollout party). The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 4 (rain date June 5) and as always, Cindy and I have a beautiful run set up. This year’s run will be almost entirely on new roads and will contain a mix of roads. The destination is a secret but I guarantee you will love the view as you enjoy dessert.<br /><br />The run will depart from the Sauk Prairie Clinic parking lot in Sauk City. The address is 112 Helen Street, Sauk City Wi. When you come into Sauk City on Hiway 12, take an immediate right on Water street after crossing the river. Proceed north till you see the clinic on your left, then turn left onto Webster St. You will see the parking lot ahead on your right. We will gather at 1:30 and depart promptly at 2:00pm after a brief drivers meeting. As always, we won’t be stopping for bathroom breaks so please come with an empty bladder and a full tank of gas. Our ending destination will be about 50 minutes from Madison’s east side so there’s a bit of driving to this year’s run. <br /><br />There is no fee for this event. Just show up and enjoy a leisurely drive with your fellow club members. Please do bring a chair and a beverage to enjoy. We will be providing the dessert, napkins, tableware and ice cold bottles of water. To help make sure we have enough dessert, please email me at vetmann@charter.net by Thursday, June 2 and let me know who is coming. If you find at the last minute that you can come and haven’t registered, please come anyway. We don’t want anyone left out and since there is no cost, it’s no big deal if you didn’t register. Should rain be a factor on Saturday, I will send out an email no later than Noon on the 2nd to let you know we are moving to the alternate date.<br /><br />We are looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday, June 4.
