The Apple Color Run this Sunday October 13th will begin with a drivers meeting at 9:30 am. The drive will start immediately following. I have scheduled a pit stop one hour into the trip for your convenience. This drive will include a scenic run to the orchard and a choice of a spirited or scenic drive from the orchard to Schifflets Bar and Grill.
Starting location for this drive is the Cenex Convenience Store, 758 Philips Blvd., Sauk City, WI 53583.
We will line up in the back of the store.

The Apple Color Run
This run will be scenic on the way to Sunrise Orchard in Gays Mills. Speeds will be close to posted speed limits which means give or take 5 miles per hour. There will be one rest-stop one hour into the drive in Richland Center. We will spend about 30 minutes at the orchard and then head out to Shifflet’s Bar and Riverside Grill for lunch. The trip from the orchard to Shifflet’s will have a scenic or a spirited option. The spirited option will take us on many fun, curvy, and hilly roads. The speed may (will) on occasion exceed the speed limit. Most of the spirit comes from driving the corners at higher speeds and there are lots of them. There will be several long segments that may separate the group some. I will slow down and wait at the end of each segment before I start the next one, giving everyone time to catch up. The scenic option starts slightly after the spirited option and initially follows the same route as the spirited run. It will split off at Hwy. 60 along the beautiful Wisconsin River for the rest of the trip to the Restaurant.
